Remembering the graduate

In discussing the upcoming, Thursday, July 22 Newtown Square Fire Company Golf Outing, the organizers realized they “missed the boat.” A common advertising phrase this time of the year is a theme that couples “Dad and Grad.” The local fundraising committee realized that in their campaign to include Dad with a Father’s Day theme, they did not include the “grad.”
In a renewed invitation, the Newtown Square Fire Company has added this missing focus. In their renewed invitation, the local firefighters have suggested that recent high school, college, and graduate school graduates join with “Dad” in this fun-filled golfing event.
This renewed invitation for sons and daughters to join their father or grandfathers will assure an event-fill day that begins with an 11:30 a.m. lunch at Edgmont. This will be followed by a 1 p.m., Shotgun Start – Scramble Format day of golf. Following this social and sport event, the day will be capped with an Edgmont dinner and awards presentation.
The simple registration can be done by mail or online. The mailing address for this event’s registration is the Newtown Square Fire Company Golf Outing, PO Box 453, Newtown Square, PA 19073. The increasing popular, online registration incorporates the secure PayPal program. This method can be done at www.nsfc.org
Participation in this fund-raising program, whether done in either ways, may be done in the following levels: “Firefighter” 1 player, lunch and dinner, $160; “Captain” 2 players, lunch and dinner, $320; and “Chief” 4 players, lunch and dinner. $640.
This golfing program is one of several innovative funding methods being used to fund the necessary tools, training, maintenance, and safety programs of the Newtown Square Fire Company. This event is open to individuals and others. A visit to the Newtown Square Fire Company Web page, www.nsfc.org will also provide information about corporate forms of participation.
