Just before 11 pm, the volunteers were dispatched to an accident with a car into a ditch at Providence Road and Runnymede Drive. While returning from that incident, a call came in for a chimney fire on Maplewood Drive. Crews arrived within minutes and worked to contain the fire. The family escaped unharmed from the home. Multiple fire companies were on scene assisting including Broomall Fire Company, Rose Tree Fire Company, Media Fire Company, Garrettford-Drexel Hill Fire Company, and Riddle Paramedics. Thanks also to our cover companies: Goshen Fire Company and Brookline Fire Company for manning our station for other calls during the incident.
