Shortly before 6 pm Tuesday night, Newtown Square Fire Co. was alerted to 2 calls: a fire alarm on Sawmill Rd and a commercial building fire in the unit block of North Malin Road, Marple Twp. Chief 41 investigated and cleared the fire alarm while Ladder 41 responded to the Broomall call. First arriving units located an A/C unit on fire on the roof the building with a smoke condition inside. The fire was quickly brought under control and no injuries were reported.
