Working Fire - Radnor Township |

Members of Newtown Square Fire Company responded with Engine 41 and Ladder 41 to a working house fire in the North Wayne section of Radnor Township last night. Radnor Fire Company had a fire in a large single-family dwelling. Radnor Fire Chief Maguire arrived on location and found fire on multiple floors of a large 3 story wood frame. The call for help was put out. Under the direction of Lt. Jon Simpson, crews assisted with roof ventilation and interior salvage and overhaul. Crews where in service for three hours at the fire scene and spent an additional hour returning the apparatus to a ready sate upon their return to the station. An additional crew along with an engine from the Goshen Fire Company stood by station in the event of another emergency in the area. Photos courtesy of Tappan Firephotos |
