At 2157 hours, Company 41 was alerted as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) to assist the Media Fire Company (23) on a reported building on fire at the Colonial Terrace Apartments in the 400 block of South Orange Street in Media Borough. Chief 23 arrived with smoke showing from a 3-story multi-occupancy building.

Squad 41 (Lt. Harper) went enroute with a crew of six. Upon arrival, the Crew established the RIT in the street on side "A" of the fire building. The Crew then split to perform of 360 degree walk around survey of the building and the scene.

Crews found a working fire in an apartment on the second floor and were able to remove an occupant from the apartment involved.

Squad 41 was released by Command at 2235 hours.
