Members of Newtown Square Fire Company responded at 5:36 AM Sunday, to an early morning fire alarm at the 300 block of Bishop Hollow Road.
Engine 41 arrived on location to fine a smoke condition in the building. Engine 41 upgraded the assignment and assumed “41 Command.” Mutual Aid Companies assembled on location to assist. Ladder 53 from Broomall Fire Company went to the rear of the building and placed their Aerial Ladder in service to gain roof access.
Engine & Rescue 73, from the Rose Tree Fire Company established water supply, while Snorkel and Medic 23 from Media Fire Company provided RIT or Rapid Intervention Team support.
The source was tracked back to the HVAC system and the building was turned back over to the on-site contact. Traffic 41 provided scene safety and perimeter security. All companies where released just over an hour later at 6:45 AM.
