The Newtown Square Fire Company is accepting resumés for the position of part-time Firefighter/EMT.

Hourly rate: $20.25 per hour

Firefighters/EMT minimum qualifications:
1. Possess a high school diploma or GED Equivalency.
2. Current Pennsylvania driver’s license/CDL preferred.
3. Possess, as a minimum level of training:
a) Pennsylvania Firefighter I and Firefighter II certificates or other training facility that meets or exceeds PA standards.
b) current Pennsylvania state certification as an Emergency Medical Technician, or National Registered Emergency Medical Technician
c) Current ARC or AHA Basic Life Support Level III Health Care Provider CPR card,
d) Pump Operations 1 and Pumps Operation 2 certificates,
e) Hazardous-Material Operations Level Certification
f) Emergency Vehicle Operations Certification
g) Basic Vehicle Rescue Technician/or Rescue Technician—Vehicle Level I
h) Aerial Operations Course (to be obtained within one year of employment).

Effective, July 1, 2015, the Newtown Square Fire Company is required by the State of Pennsylvania to ensure all paid employees obtain the following background checks as a condition of employment:
• PA State Police Criminal History Check
• Child Abuse Clearance from the Dept of Human Services
• FBI Criminal History Check which includes fingerprinting

We will also require a current all applicants must pass a Fire Company physical.
