Today the Newtown Square Fire Company, Newtown Square Police and Flynn’s Tree Service work together to rescue a 14-Year-old Male Bullmastiff named Rocky who had fallen into a hole next to his residence. He was exhausted, cold, there was some water in the hole, and he had been there for approximately an hour. The Police went to the animal hospital and acquired a Muzzle which the homeowner put on Rocky. Flynn’s left the scene and returned with a climbing belt, and the fire company used a 16-foot ladder with a backboard strapped to it. Once Flynn’s Tree service returned with the climbing belt, we were able to put it on Rocky and successfully lifted him out of the hole. Rocky was elated to be free from the hole. I must Honestly say, this is what being a member of the fire company is all about. What a rewarding experience and day. A Huge Thank You to Flynn’s Tree Service, and All involved today!
