| Members of the Newtown Square Fire Company were awakened at 3:00 am to assist the Broomall Fire Company with a second emergency in their town on Claudia Circle. The call was initially reported as an automatic fire alarm but was quickly upgraded to a working fire.
Assist Chief Kenny was the first to arrive at the scene and reported visible smoke. Ladder 41 deployed 700 feet of five-inch hose to establish a water supply and then carried out ladder company operations.
Crews from Broomall, Newtown Square, Manoa, and Rose Tree Fire Companies worked for two hours to extinguish the fire and performed salvage and overhaul activities.
