When it rains it pours, even on sunny days. Members of the Newtown Square Fire Company responded to three back-to-back-to-back calls Saturday morning.

The first incident involved a vehicle rollover on Church Road, just past Valley Forge Road, near the edge of Easttown Township. As crews were finishing up at the scene, they were dispatched to assist Edgmont Fire Company with a separate call in the 3900 block of Providence Road. While en route, they were redirected to a brush fire several blocks away in Willistown Township.

The Edgmont incident was determined to be an electrical issue with a water heater. Chief 64 requested Goshen Fire Company to assist Engine 64 with the situation.

The second Edgmont engine, 64-1, was originally heading to the water heater call but was redirected to the brush fire in Willistown Township. Engine 54 from Goshen Fire Company also left the Edgmont scene to supply additional water for the brush fire in Willistown.

This series of calls required a rapid response from multiple fire companies and mutual aid partners. An hour and a half after the first call came in, Chief Chris Young of Company 41 announced that all agencies were available for service.

The afternoon was not that quieter either. The fire company responded to Farrier Lane for an automatic fire alarm, and an assist to Radnor Fire Company at St David's Country Club in Tredyffrin Township for a dryer fire.

Mutual Aid: Medic 104-B, Company 64, CC Company 54, Company 15, Newtown Twp Police
